The all-new Singapore Oceanarium in Sentosa is set to open its doors on 23 July 2025 officially — and it's great news for Malaysian travellers looking for exciting new destinations close to home!
Formerly known as the S.E.A. Aquarium, the revamped oceanarium is now three times larger than before, featuring 22 immersive thematic zones that blend education, marine science, and interactive experiences to inspire love and awareness for ocean conservation.

The new Singapore Oceanarium will take visitors on an underwater journey through time and ecosystems — from Singapore’s coastal mangroves to the mysterious deep sea. Key highlights include:
Ocean Wonders: One of the world’s largest Kreisel tanks housing over 5,000 moon jellyfish.
Singapore’s Coast: A recreation of local mangrove ecosystems with interactive exhibits showcasing native coastal biodiversity.
Ancient Waters: Featuring life-sized models and “living fossils” of prehistoric marine creatures, offering a glimpse into the evolution of ocean life.
Open Ocean: A massive 36-metre-wide viewing panel where visitors can see majestic creatures like manta rays and zebra sharks up close.

Right next to the Oceanarium, a brand new Research & Learning Centre has been built with sustainability in mind — it runs entirely on solar power. The centre includes immersive learning labs, collaboration spaces, and seminar rooms aimed at public education and marine research.
The Oceanarium is also collaborating with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Earth Observatory for a five-year applied research program focused on ocean conservation and climate resilience.
After your ocean adventure, relax at the Explorer’s Outpost Café, or shop for eco-friendly souvenirs at the Singapore Oceanarium Store — from ocean-themed collectables and books to exclusive limited-edition items by sustainable brands.
