LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort, The World's Largest LEGOLAND To Open in July!

LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort, the largest LEGOLAND park in the world, will officially open in July 2025!

Set to open its gates on 5 July 2025, this new resort, located in Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, promises a vibrant LEGO-themed experience for families. Construction of the resort is in its final stages, with 24 core rides undergoing final commissioning. Key structures like the iconic park arch and the LEGOLAND Hotel have been completed.

What to Expect at LEGOLAND Shanghai?

The park features more than 75 rides, shows, and attractions across eight themed lands built with over 85 million LEGO bricks. Nearly 1,000 staff are being hired, and close to 100 emergency drills are being carried out in preparation for the grand opening.

One of the major highlights is MINILAND, a LEGO-built showcase of China’s most iconic landmarks and landscapes. The detailed models—collectively weighing over 45 tons—span indoor and outdoor areas and will feature immersive lighting, sound, and interactive storytelling, letting guests explore famous cityscapes like never before.

What's more, the resort will offer daily entertainment including 22 character meet-and-greets, 11 themed shows, and a 4D cinema experience. A standout is the world’s first LEGO Monkie Kid™ Live Show, featuring dramatic puppetry and special effects, including a 3.7-meter-tall Demon Bull King puppet brought to life by three puppeteers.

The LEGOLAND Shanghai Hotel

Guests staying at the 250-room LEGOLAND Hotel can choose from five fully themed room types, including the world’s first Monkie Kid™ rooms. With over 1,700 LEGO art pieces, play zones, and exclusive guest perks, the hotel delivers a 360° LEGO experience. Besides, conveniently located near Jinshan North High-Speed Railway Station, the resort is easily accessible, with just under 20 minutes from central Shanghai.
